Yemen Warns That Any Warship Approaching Israel Will Be Attacked

Yemen's Ansar Allah Houthi rebel movement announced this Saturday that they will attack "any ship that approaches Israel".

"The Yemeni Armed Forces announce that they will prevent the passage of ships of any nationality heading to the Zionist entity," from the movement.

"If the Gaza Strip does not receive the food and medicine it needs, all ships sailing through the Red Sea bound for Israeli ports, regardless of their nationality, They will become a target of our Armed Forces," they added.

Furthermore, "in order to ensure the safety of maritime navigation," they warned ships and companies to "not deal with Israeli ports." The Yemeni forces assured that "they will implement this decision from the moment this declaration is announced."

The Yemeni Armed Forces, controlled by the Houthi rebel Ansar Allah movement, declared in November the intention to attack any Israeli ship in the Red Sea, both those flying the Israeli flag and those owned or operated by companies from the Hebrew country.

Furthermore, since the beginning of the war in the Gaza Strip, the Houthi group has repeatedly claimed to have launched rocket and drone attacks against Israeli targets.
