Iranian security officials helped plan Saturday's surprise Hamas attack on Israel and gave the green light for the attack at a meeting in Beirut last Monday, according to senior Hamas and Hezbollah members.
IRGC officers have been working with Hamas since August to develop air, ground and sea incursions, these people said.
Details of the operation were finalized during several meetings in Beirut attended by IRGC officers and representatives of four Iranian-backed groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah.
And yet, Iran denies helping Hamas plot the attack on Israel.
