These birds feed on surface insects such as aphids and larvae and wood living insects during the colder months. It is native to Europe and Asia and a few parts of Africa.

Roseate Spoonbill (Platalea ajaja): This 86cm (34in) species of Ibis is native to South America, Caribbean, Central America, Mexico and the southern gulf states in the US. They feed on crustaceans, aquatic insects, frogs, newts and very small fish by sweeping their bills from side to side in the water. European Tree Frog (Hyla arborea): 50mm (2.0in). This is a small tree frog. As traditionally defined, it was found throughout much of Europe, Asia and northern Africa, but recent data shows the species found in most of Europe from France to Poland and Greece is different from the species found in Turkey and Italy. House Martin (Delichon urbicum): This bird breeds in Eurasia and winters in sub-Saharan Africa and tropical Asia. It feeds on insects which are caught in flight, and that is why it migrates to climates where flying insects are plentiful in winter.
